Calling all Prospect Place/Court and Sunrise Avenuers!

This is an attempt to connect with people from long, long, ago. Perhaps the connection will last one simple paragraph, never to be heard from again, or reignite to last a lifetime. Who knows. I just think it would be fun to catch up with people that share so many fond memories from childhood and beyond. Some of us already do still keep in touch. While some might be content to keep the past in the past. Either way. Lets see what happens.

Live at Shea....

Hello all,
Imagine my surprise when my two headed brother Dennis sends me a command performance here on this site. So I took a look, and said to myself, Self, this is quite the trip down memory lane...

Since I left Prospect place when my parents sold the house out from under Dennis and I 22 years ago, Life has been quite the ride. I joined the NYPD and have been retired already for almost 4 years now. I spent 17 of my 20 years with the Emergency Service Unit doing SWAT and Rescue for the City of New York. Yes I was there on 9-11, yes it sucked, I lost 14 members of my team that day. But I made a left instead of a right, so here I am...

I am married with two rotten kids ( Just kidding, they are terrific) My daughter Emily just turned 13, and my son Joey will be 8 next week. My wife is a saint, having put up with me for the past 15 years of marriage. We live out in Commack.

I now am a professional musician, still studying guitar with a Long Island great by the name of Jim Moran. I got to play Shea Stadium last year in the same spot as the Beatles with a 10 piece swing band I was with at the time. Very cool. I still play around the area, all my connections are still in Nassau County. You can check my MySpace page ( I know, but it's free), to see where I'll be playing next and with what band. Being a hired gun, I have more than one project... hehheh

Life is good, every day above ground is a good day. I hope to hear from some of you soon.

Checked out some video, pics from shea and it looked like it was a fun gig for you. Nice looking family and i'm sure any woman that put up with you for that long is a saint. ;-). Just kidding, maybe. Good to see you here.

Joe, the Shea gig must have been awesome. At least you guys had a better sound system than the Beatles.

Thanks for your service on 9/11 btw.
