Calling all Prospect Place/Court and Sunrise Avenuers!

This is an attempt to connect with people from long, long, ago. Perhaps the connection will last one simple paragraph, never to be heard from again, or reignite to last a lifetime. Who knows. I just think it would be fun to catch up with people that share so many fond memories from childhood and beyond. Some of us already do still keep in touch. While some might be content to keep the past in the past. Either way. Lets see what happens.

The Dark Knight

I saw Batman: The Dark Knight today. An excellent film. Top notch work. The Joker was amazing- one of the finest examples of an on-screen villain I have ever seen.

Much excitement about The Dark Knight. Sandy is still recovering from surgery. Looks like next weekend. Maybe a double bill of Batman & X-files....

Watch me make this pencil disappear...

Now that's an entrance.

I still don't like Batman's talking. Not only does he sound ridiculous, but he looks like he has a speech impediment as if he's impersonating Jim Carrey's "Cable Guy".

Yes, the pencil trick was pretty original.
And so was Batman's voice. He should have just spoken with clicks and low frequency radar clucks (with subtitles)- would have sounded better.

Ended up seeing it Tuesday afternoon. Must say, hats off to Ledger for doing a tongue slobering wicked job. Back when i had heard it would be him, i was less than enthused. Showed me. The movie itself great. But similar to Spiderman II where it was too long. They tried crunching alot in there, and it lost something. Batman Returns better. Ironman also better. The voice however, didn't grind on my nerve like i thought it would.

But it did solve one issue. The Batman suit kicks ass..hands down best.
