I was on Ebay, searching for something completely unrelated and this post card pops up. One of my earliest memories in Bellmore (aside from the frozen screen door breaking off in the blizzard of '69) was attending an event at the Sunrise Village and watching dozen of couples dancing out on the floor.

Yep. I loved that place. I could let Peter and Steven run around like a bunch of crazed monkeys and nobody cared. the floors were wood, the Oomp-pah-pah band was playing, and you did not have to tell the kids to sit quietly at the table and act like gentlemen.
