Since we moved to Columbus Ave two years ago, a nieghbor would every so often remind us to push in our side view mirror since it was a busy street. Since he is a bit of an eccentric cuckoo, and all around wierdo, we naturally ignored him. Of course a month ago i went to work one morning, and sure enough, the mirror was bent the other way and shattered. The housing was fine, so i just went to Autobarn to pick up a temporary. Being the master procrastinator i am, i put off going to the dealer. Two weeks ago Wednesday night, there is a knock on the door, and it Jen the cop. She looked all of 25 years old. Naturally i looked like i just got up, and Sandy was in her nightgown....Just right for going downtown! She asked me if i owned a black Sonata, and if my name was Stephen O'Sullivan. As soon as i said yes, she said not to worry, everything is fine. Fine that is, except for my sideview mirror. She(the cop) broke it trying to get around some old man driving. We, of course, pretended to be aghast that it could happen! She was profusely sorry. She didn't want paper work, and asked if we'd bring it to Masters in East Meadow. She would pay for it it. Everything at our convenience. Of course we didn't mind fixing our mirror FOR FREE! But she was completely stand up, and within two days we had a new mirror on our car. She gave follow up phone calls, even telling me to save her number if there was ANYTHING we needed(i think she just couldn't resist my 43 yr old pythons). She even offered us rides to where ever. I felt mobbed up, like a connected guy.
This was two weeks ago. ONE DAY AGO guess what happened.....

A SWAT team stormed your house and you were given a vigorous cavity search by Vinnie "Ringo" Spinoza?
What do I look like, a psychic?
My pessimistic nature suspects you either received news of a claim from the officer's insurance company, or you received a bill for the work done to your car from the shop.
Ringo, that's funny.
Let me guess. The guy who alerted you about the danger of parking so close to the street informed the cop that your mirror was already broken?
Or, she cannot resist your Golden God form as you so deftly surmised, and now you must submit to her particular form of protecting and serving?
I need to know how this story ends!
Objects in mirror are way more closer than they appear?
