Calling all Prospect Place/Court and Sunrise Avenuers!

This is an attempt to connect with people from long, long, ago. Perhaps the connection will last one simple paragraph, never to be heard from again, or reignite to last a lifetime. Who knows. I just think it would be fun to catch up with people that share so many fond memories from childhood and beyond. Some of us already do still keep in touch. While some might be content to keep the past in the past. Either way. Lets see what happens.

New England came with me.....

My wife insisted that it doesn't snow very often in WA, at least not in the western low lying areas. Yes passes get closed and if open require chains. But starting on the 13 of Dec. we were graced by an inch or so of snow. Now for us North East people that's nothing to go nuts about. But like the Long Islanders are finding out when there is powder on the ground there is frantic drivers, idiotic news stories. --my favorite being "For those with out power Jim what number should they call? Well Janice how about 555-why doesn't my TV work now." Do they think the majority have a battery powered TV and that is what there waiting for. Well any way here is the picture from the first little snow we received.
Now on the 18th of Dec. we received an additional 8" of snow. Well this made getting home more of a survival technique then a commute. There were bathroom breaks and a snack stop along our 40min aahum!! 5 hr commute.
Well that was bad but apparently the good Lord has a sense of humor and decided that a total of 13" on the ground wasn't good enough so an additional 10" was dropped from the heavens just to piss me off. Mind you there are few snow plows here in the low lying areas since it "doesn't snow in Western Washington" Here is what I've been dealing with since Saturday night.
Yes that is my driveway under 12-15" of semi packed snow. Mind you I no longer own a 4x4 and now have a longer driveway to shovel with a freeking trowel. The snow is very heavy and my 15yr old son wimps out way before me. So there are only two things to do in this scenario-- One strap on some snow shoes and see how far the one or two plows for the county have gone-too far to walk so we snow shoed the back yard instead. Two follow the cats lead.......

After hot chocolate for the boy and a capacino for me that is what we did.

WELL TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT AND A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS...

Christmas Eve-- we woke up to no power until 11am and 3-5" of more snow. What the hell.
On the bright side by tuesday we will be at 46 and well on the way to spring-- hopefully.

Sorry Ed, but we're already at 46 today here in the northeast, after a couple of frigid, frigid days.

Make one beg the question....what global warming?

Speaking of 46, CNN says you got 46 inches in Spokane ... that's a record, dude.
