Calling all Prospect Place/Court and Sunrise Avenuers!
This is an attempt to connect with people from long, long, ago. Perhaps the connection will last one simple paragraph, never to be heard from again, or reignite to last a lifetime. Who knows. I just think it would be fun to catch up with people that share so many fond memories from childhood and beyond. Some of us already do still keep in touch. While some might be content to keep the past in the past. Either way. Lets see what happens.

Speaking of Snow...
The blizzard of '69.
I remember digging out small caves in the side of the snow for Will, Holley and Cha-ka.
Yes it was awesome. I watched that show Man verus Wild and the host was telling a story about how someone on their team to Evrrest fell into an ice shoot and went a half a mile down an tube and was never seen again. Did any other movie ever feature that? I remember the movie Alive (for Television) in the Andes in 1970's and they showed a guy fall into a big hole in the ice too.
I remember the cave. I remember Emmet Haltigan the one staring it and doing most of the work. Then there was the slide on top.
I've watched the Everest climb on discovery. They actually showed the bodies far down below stuck in the crevice over a ladder crossing. They even showed a man from China who on one day was blocking the climb because he was exhausted and on the way back he was dead. Pretty freaky that the Chinese climbing group left that guy on his own. The American climbers are the ones who pulled him down and then contacted the authorities. The group leader was extremely P-O'd.
This winter my son and I, along with his scout troop, are doing some snow cave camping. Well anyway I'll let you know if I even dare to do this trip with him in the next few months.

Remember the giant igloo we hollowed out in front of Haltigan's house from the snow left by the snowplow?
