Calling all Prospect Place/Court and Sunrise Avenuers!

This is an attempt to connect with people from long, long, ago. Perhaps the connection will last one simple paragraph, never to be heard from again, or reignite to last a lifetime. Who knows. I just think it would be fun to catch up with people that share so many fond memories from childhood and beyond. Some of us already do still keep in touch. While some might be content to keep the past in the past. Either way. Lets see what happens.

Seriously, I'm out of old pictures

Here are some shots from our mini-vacation last weekend to the sleepy town of Sebastian, Florida.

Here's the "resort" we stayed at: Oyster Pointe.
Picture perfect outside - 70's inside. Oh well.

View from our deck: You can see the Indian River in the background - beautiful river, much nicer than the St Johns, in my opinion.

The real reason I booked us here, however, was the boats. The resort has a fleet of 15-foot, 25hp power boats and for a mere fee of $50 (which includes gas) you can use them as much as you like all week long. So here was my chance to get out and experience the boater's life for a couple of days.

Katie and Pappy, in a quiet moment

Stopping at the Route 501 bridge to the beaches.

Hanging out with friends on the water (I actually have a little movie of the dolphin pod, six dolphins in all, but it doesn't seem to want to upload).

Nothing ends a nice day on the water like a nice dinner at a waterfront restaurant. Here's Pappy after waiting an hour to get into Captain Hiram's

And waiting for the food to arrive.

Usually if you follow the crowds, you find the best places to eat but sometimes you're just a lemming jumping off an overpriced cliff. The phrase "tourist trap" comes to mind. However, their "Sand Bar" outside was always hopping with live music and I'd recommend it highly if you're looking for a good night of booze and music. Just be sure to eat first.

Posing with Mr Tiki. You just knew you'd see the blue tank top.

Thanks for sharing Steve. Your mom and dad look great! I still remember your mom highlighting the TV guide with yellow pen to determine which shows she was going to watch. My first indication that there were levels of organization that were beyond me back in 1980. More later.

If you knew how much reality tv those two are DVRing right now, you'd be appalled.
